HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS...

Finding a great place to live while studying at Aviation Australia can really enhance your experience of student life. The Student Services team can assist by providing information and services to assist you to find a home that's right for you, and make your arrival in Brisbane as smooth as possible.

Accommodation

Students under 18, without any close relatives in Australia, must reside in homestay accommodation and have an approved guardian. This will be arranged with an approved homestay provider and all details given before leaving their home country.

In Brisbane there is a wide range of accommodation available to students. Types of accommodation include apartments and town houses, fully furnished share houses, and homestays where students are located within a family.

Aviation Australia recommends that for the first 2 - 4 weeks students reside in homestay accommodation. The link below is to a reputable homestay provider. If after this period students choose the option to rent or share accommodation, Aviation Australia recommends that the student does not deal directly with the landlord but goes through a reputable organisation such as Thepad.

Generally, homestay pricing ranges from AU$220 to AU$275 per week and a placement fee of approximately AU$220 applies each time a student seeks new homestay accommodation.
Aviation Australia has adopted the following standards in relation to student accommodation:

  1. We chose accommodation providers who adhere to industry standards and ESOS obligations and

  2. We monitor and work closely with the accommodation provider to ensure they are adhering to the standards.
